Hello Wikitubians,

I am creating this thread as a place for me to give everyone a place to see if there are any changes in rules, such as new rules, removal of certain rules, or change in already existing rules.

Each time a change in the rules happens, I will send a message in this post about what it is, and when it will go into effect.

So, if you are interested in future changes in rules, I would suggest following this post.

This post will remain locked, so things that are announcements are only here.

The following changes were made to the demotion rules:

Bureaucrats are no longer demoted after 60 days of inactivity.

Staff members can not be blocked or banned while they are still currently staff members.

Demotion rules do not apply to bureaucrats.

The following changes were made to the reinstatement rules:

A user who was formerly a bureaucrat cannot go through the reinstatement process for that position.

It is no longer a requirement to not have a valid block within the past year or to meet the current edit requirement for the position the user is seeking.

The bureaucrat confidence vote rules have been updated to have the threshold for starting it lowered from 2/3 of present staff agreeing to a majority of present staff agreeing.

The bureaucrat apportionment rules have been updated to include that the Head of Discussions is responsible for administering the Discussions Abuse Filter and that they have the final say on posts being locked or deleted.

The bureaucrat vacancy process has been updated to include that you must have at least one edit or post prior to the final vote in order to vote in the bureaucrat vote, as well as there being 3 days after the vote ends to verify and certify the results after the election.

A proposed rule to prohibit users from using multiple accounts to vote in the bureaucrat selection vote, with punishment for doing so being a permanent ban, has been approved for creation and will be implemented on 07:32 UTC on July 4, 2023 as G:1:5.

A proposed rule that prohibits users from using ChatGPT or similar AI software's to write paragraphs or pages, with punishment for doing so being a warning, has been approved for creation and will be implemented on 03:01 UTC on July 5, 2023 as C:1:34.

A proposed rule that would allow for the rules to be redrafted if 2/3 of staff agree, has been approved for creation and will be implemented at 18:46 UTC in July 7, 2023 as A:3:4.

The staff role requirements have been updated to include that if no staff for the rank below are deemed fitting for the right above although meet all requirements in a shortage, then a staff of that rank could be selected to fill the shortage instead.
