As we get to 2026, we bring you changes to our rules.

Let's start off with what has been removed which is the now former C:1:5 rule (Do not insert information found on Wikipedia.) as this rule had actually been merged and we forgot to remove it. This moved rules C:1:6 to C:1:25 down a number. So now for example, the now former C:1:6 rule (Do not use ChatGPT or any similar artificial intelligence software to write pages or sections of pages.) is now C:1:5.

This also means we don't have C:1:25 because that was supposed to be the number for the new rule "Do not create unnecessary disambiguation pages." that will cover disambiguations, but it will now take on C:1:24. Note that you need three entries and approval from a staff member to make one and like redirects (Which is now C:1:23 and not the former C:1:24), visit the MoS to see our latest section about unnecessary disambiguations.

I've received some complaints about the light theme, and I'll admit, it wasn't the best. I use the dark theme, so I had some trouble finding a good color contrast for the light theme. With that being said, I have adjusted it to be better and less of an eyesore. Any sort of feedback would be appreciated, and I hope you all enjoy the new theme.

The aforementioned category has been renamed to "Reading YouTubers" per a staff vote. The name itself is in better alignment with its icon name and easier to find than "Book-narrating YouTubers." That's about it; this announcement is shorter than per usual.

Hello all, due to numerous videos as well as some discussion about this YouTuber being ragebait, any discussion on this board about Payleey is hereby banned and posts about this YouTuber from this point will count as a D:1:8 violation, similar to how we treat other trolls and ragebaiters.

The "Cleanup" template has recently been revamped so it works a bit differently. There are now different sets of parameters that are available to use. For example, if a user wanted to mark a page that needs better formatting, they would put "{{Cleanup|fo}}" on the page; this will add it to the "Pages with formatting issues" category. To add a reason to the template, simply add another parameter like so: {{Cleanup|fo|reason}}. The "Cleanup" has also had the "Biased" template merged into it. For further information about its new uses, I'd advise checking out its documentation page.

In the report I made for August 2025, I said there wouldn't be a Hall of Fame vote, based off an assumption I made; however, this turned out to not be the case. Hello everyone! A bit late to the party but on August 4, we have recently welcomed a new addition to our rules. This notice before warning rule has become known as "Do not create unnecessary redirects." and the rule takes on the codename C:1:24. This rule change comes after there has been many a time where unnecessary redirects are created and this rule will now make the creation of such redirects enforceable. We've also made a list of what to consider before making redirects which is located in the MoS.

So like I decided to check Wikitubia because why not and there's like a weird thing there's like a speech bubble on the right corner of my profile picture and my username is now purple in certain places and it's freaking me out!

In all seriousness, I am really thankful for my promotion and I promise to make great use of my rights.

Moments ago in the making of this post, the last legacy stub page got deleted. The legacy started on September 9, 2023, and now begins a new era for Wikitubia. We went from 26,007 to about 21,000 article pages still living on this wiki. Please do not confuse the fact that our page number has decreased as regression as this is where our progression starts.

We still have pages that need to be cleaned up, outdated, infamously needs citations, and other things. Removing legacy stubs was crucial because now we can worry less about whether or not pages from the past have 2,000 bytes and focus more on the aforementioned aspects. We thank you for any effort that you were able to give before and during the deadline and here's to a better Wikitubia, one step at a time.

I failed to consider that most people are not like me and probably sleep healthy, so the time was pushed back to July 30, 2025 5:00 PM (17:00) UTC.

This isn’t really an extension of the deadline, though technically it is. It’s just so more admins are able to supervise the deletion.

As the final hours dwindle down, the meaning of legacy will be no more. However, this doesn't mean these specific versions of pages are gone forever. That being said, if you wish to keep some legacy stubs, let me or others know and we will move them to your sandbox. Even after they're deleted, they can still be restored and put in your sandbox.

This saves some from having to start by scratch, but in some cases, scratch may be ideal as the page quality is not guaranteed to be good for a page that's under 2,000 bytes and probably may have no sources. If the latter is the case, you have the free will to alter it to standards as much as you like in your sandbox. Hello, Wikitubians. As indicated by the title, the "Userboxes by residence" have been updated. All of the countries are now found under their respective continent userbox (e.g., Canada is in the North America userbox, Malaysia is in the Asia userbox, Denmark is in the Europe userbox, and so on). The cities and territories were removed as we (the staff team) found them unnecessary. You can find these templates on the "Wikitubia:Userboxes" page. This may not be as important as other changes to the wiki, but I figured I would make a post about it anyway.
