Aouni El-Dous[1] † (Arabic: عوني الدوس) (2011-2010 - October 18, 2023 [aged 12-13])[2] was a Palestinian YouTuber known for his gaming-related videos, such as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, PES 2017, and others.[3][4]
On October 19, 2023, he was killed from an Israeli airstrike during the 2023 Israel–Hamas war.[2]
History[]
He created his channel on May 2, 2020, and began uploading on June 3, 2020.[5] However, he would publish his first gaming-related video on December 12, 2020, showing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds gameplay.[6]
On August 18, 2022, he made an introduction video, saying that he's 12-years-old, and is from Gaza. He also mentioned that he wants to reach 100,000 subscribers, along with 500,000, one million, and ten million.[7]
On August 3, 2023, he would upload his last video, showing him playing Counter-Strike.[8]
Death[]
On October 18, 2023, he was killed from an airstrike during the war with Israel and Hamas. He was about 12-13 years old.[9][2][note 1]
Tributes[]
After Aouni's death, multiple videos were released talking about his dream of being a YouTuber and his death, mainly on YouTube and Instagram.[10][11][12][13] Along with this, his channel went from 1,000 subscribers to one million in a span of nearly 3 weeks.[14][15]
On October 23, 2023, AboFlah made a video talking about his channel, along with showing his direct messages that Aouni sent to him.[1]
