Hua Nong Xiong Di (Chinese: 华农兄弟), is a group of Chinese YouTube vloggers. The group is known for recording Chinese rural life and rhizomyidae cultivation.

Before formally activating their YouTube channel, they have been uploading videos in Xigua Video and later Bilibili. All their videos are uploaded on Xigua Video first and then selectively uploaded on other video platforms.

History[]

Tan Haiyang and Hu Yueqing[]

Liu Suliang, Hu Yueqing and Tan Haiyang were all born in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, China.

On April 2017, 华农兄弟 was created on Xigua Video. Tang Haiyang portrays as narration and Hu Yueqing records and distribution of videos. Videos in this period focus on showing Chinese rural life. Tan Haiyang quit after his parents' opposition and Liu Suliang replaced his role.

In this period, videos are put more weight on the instruction of rhizomyidae cultivation.

Going viral[]

On February 2018, a video recording Liu Suliang cooking a rhizomyidae which was injured during fighting was uploaded, which attracted attention.

On August 2018, a video called 吃竹鼠的一百种理由 (lit. One hundred reasons to eat rhizomyidae) was uploaded on Bilibili, which further contributed the success of 华农兄弟. Later on the month, 华农兄弟 started their Bilibili accounts.

Their YouTube channel has been formally active since March 2019, despite the channel being created in June 20, 2014.

In early 2020, 华农兄弟 changes their main theme of videos because Chinese government set a law forbidding cultivation of certain animals including rhizomyidae as a reaction of the 2019-20 COVID-19 pandemic.
