Hirose Kōmi (as known as her stage name Kohmi Hirose, her real name read in Japanese is 広瀬 香美 and she was born on April 12, 1966 (1966-04-12) [age 59]) is a Japanese pop singer and songwriter. She signed on records label called "Victor Entertainment" (or as known as JVCKenwood Victor Entertainment Corporation).

Her most popular hit song was "Promise" (or stylized as promise).

On November 22, 2008, her most popular song "Promise" was became the most popular meme at that time, the meme was called "Get Down" (read in Japanese is ゲッダン or Geddan) meme. The meme was originated from glitchy gameplay footage from the Nintendo 64 game from an improperly-inserted cartridge. People made the stop motion for look like the glitch and then overlaid with the chorus of "Promise". The first person made this meme in real person was from the user called "donnienakajima"
