Makaino Ririmu (Japanese: 魔界ノりりむ) (birthday: January 15)[citation needed] is a Japanese[citation needed] VTuber affiliated with Nijisanji.[citation needed]

Makaino debuted on August 2, 2018.[1] Back then, her main avatar was a girl with demon horns, ashen beige hair in two ponytails that reached the back of her head, and a pair of bat-like red wings. Makai's next stream was a chatting stream,[2] before she streamed games such as Death Coming,[3] GTA 5,[4] PUBG,[5] Surgeon Simulator,[6] Fortnite,[7] OneHandClapping[8] and Call of Duty[9]. She has collaborated with Honma Himawari for Human Fall Flat,[10] Shiina Yuika for The Forest,[11] Yuzuki Roa for Splatoon,[12] Yamiyono and Kuzuha for Dead by Daylightm[13] and Shiina, Akabane Youko and Kuzuha for Deep Rock 2.[14] However the person she has collaborated with the most is Shiina Yuika, for games like Minecraft, Mario Kart Deluxe and Fortnite. Makaino has even implied that she is attracted to her in some thumbnails.[15]
On November 30, 2019, Makaino announced a new redesign,[16] where her old model was replaced with a girl with ashen beige hair in a plait with a pink stripe in her hair. Even though it was meant to be her new design a lot of video thumbnails on her channel rarely used it, and would stick to the old one. In August of 2020, she announced yet another redesign, which is her current one, in the video "[New costume & key visual] The number one princess in the world ♡ [#Ririmu and play/ Rainbow disaster]".[17] This design had her hair lightened with more pink stripes, tied in thin ponytails with black ribbons on each side of her head. Her eyes, which were previously red in her past incarnations, were now light pink and her right eye had an eyepatch and she had a pink stuffed rabbit whos ears resembled a gaming console. Her dress was also changed to a white Japanese female school uniform.[citation needed]
Her upload schedule, though frequent in the past, has slowed down since 2020, where she would upload videos for a period of time before disappearing for a month, and then coming back again to upload. However 2021 seemed to smooth it out, as she would upload once a week. Her most popular videos are chatting streams with other VTubers.[18]
She is a singer, and has a clear low pitched voice, as shown by her covers of Os[19] and Anata Kaibou Jainaka.[20]
