*namirin, also known as *nami and ＊なみりん, is an American YouTuber and musician who is known for singing song covers of music from anime and Vocaloids.

Her first video was a cover of HatsuneMiku's Hajime no koi ga owaru toki, and she would cover more Vocaloid songs, though most of them were songs from Miku. In July of 2017, she produced a cover of Renai circulation, which quickly gained 2.4M likes and garnered over 100 million views and was so notorious that several assumed that it was the original song.[citation needed]
*namirin's covers would also have their own animations, both 2D and 3D, and sometimes she would commision pixiv artists to create stills and other artwork for them.[citation needed]
Despite English being her native tongue, and Japanese being her second language, her knowledge of the language and its pronunciations were praised and she managed to get a following in Japan.[citation needed]
Even though she usually covers songs from anime and Vocaloids, she has also covered a song from Pikmin 3, mentioning that she used to play it with her sister.[1]
Personal life[]
She was born and raised in Hawaii, USA, but later moved to Japan and currently resides in Tokyo. Since her father is American and her mother is Japanese, she has dual citizenship. She has one sister.[citation needed]
