Mandea Cătălin (born: June 5, 2000 (2000-06-05) [age 23]), better known online as 100dcx, is a Romanian YouTuber, animator, game developer, and voice actor best known for his object show series, Challenge to Win.

Content[]

100dcx's content mainly consists of animated videos. The most well known of these is his object show, Challenge to Win (CTW). Similar to jacknjellify's Battle for Dream Island, it revolves around object contestants who are participating in a reality show to win a grand prize.[citation needed]

History[]

100dcx joined YouTube on September 12, 2010. He uploaded his first video on October 1 of that year.[1] His channel did not gain much traction initially.

On September 20, 2012, he released the first episode of Challenge to Win.[2] The series was a success, and 100dcx would begin to gain a following. The season finale of Challenge to Win was released on April 25, 2017.[3]

In 2018, 100dcx would start CTW's second season, known as Challenge 2 Win (C2W). C2W's first episode released on June 25.[4] However, this would end up being the only episode the second season ever saw, as after uploading a few smaller videos in the following time period, he went on hiatus in December 2020. In 2022, he confirmed in a comment that the show will not continue.[5]

Personal life[]

Mandea Cătălin was born on June 5, 2000,[6] in Romania. He currently resides in Tecuci, Galați County.[7]

Trivia[]

  • He is the first YouTuber from a non-English-speaking country to start an object show.[8]
  • He made Challenge To Win merchandise during the show's early days, though this was later discontinued.
  • Before the start of Challenge To Win, 100dcx hosted sign-ups in August 2012 via Scratch where users could suggest characters for his show. Being a rather unknown user at the time, he ended up receiving only two requests, and created the rest of the characters himself.[9]
  • He is still fairly active on Discord.[10]
