Garrett[2] (born: October 22, 1989 (1989-10-22) [age 36]),[3] better known online as 1989gamemaster (formerly Press Subscribe),[2] is an American animator and former YouTuber who peaked in popularity between 2010 and 2012.[2]

Content[]

Their content revolved around animated videos and comedic skits based on popular video games and their characters such as Mario and Sonic from their respective eponymous video game franchises.[4][5] Given that it is an older YouTube channel, the animations had a 4:3 aspect ratio.[6]

Departure[]

Garrett has left YouTube due to problems he had with Google+ in late 2013. He once said that he'd be back once Google+ ends. Even though Google+ shut down, he has never returned.[citation needed]

Trivia[]

  • One of the animation programs that he used is MS Paint.[7]
