Garrett (born: October 22, 1989), better known online as 1989gamemaster, is an American animator and former YouTuber who peaked in popularity between 2010 and 2012.

Their content revolved around animated videos and comedic skits based on popular video games and their characters such as Mario and Sonic from their respective eponymous video game franchises. Given that it is an older YouTube channel, the animations had a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Departure[]
Garrett has left YouTube due to problems he had with Google+ in late 2013. He once said that he'd be back once Google+ ends. Even though Google+ shut down, he has never returned. It's likely that he retired at some point.
