3WhiteEskimos, also known as 3WE, is an American film production company based in Seattle, Washington. They are known for posting short films, comedy sketches, and their website exclusive series: 3WE: Behind the Scenes.

Origin[]

3WhiteEskimos was created on May 12, 2012, by Jake Larson, Kyle Larson, and Cody Larson. The name is based on the three founders, who have a lineage that traces back to Inuit descent. Although they are now known for their short films and comedy sketches, they originally created Nerf-related videos. On May 28, 2012, 3WhiteEskimos would release their first video on YouTube titled: Insane Nerf War. The video is still up to this day.[1]

2012-2014[]

From 2012 to 2014, 3WhiteEskimos would upload 20 videos. However, a few older videos, such as Acid Ape or Nerf of Duty, have been deleted for unknown reasons. In early 2014, 3WE would announce and open their website. The first version of the site included news and updates on upcoming videos and projects.[2]

2015-2016[]

From 2015 to 2016, 3WhiteEskimos would upload 16 videos, all of which are still public. In 2015, 3WE introduced their first series, Bad Prop Choices, with the "Mighty Heist" pilot episode.[3] The year would also allow 3WE to create Zombie Hazard, their first short film. In 2016, they would present My Baller Life, a reality series about Kevin McBallerson, who lives in Faymaple Hills.

2017-Current[]

From 2017 to now, 3WhiteEskimos has shifted its focus to creating short films and comedy sketches, such as Squatchin': Mock in Fear (part of The Squatchin' Trilogy), Hint of Roses, Textopia, Immersion, or A Million Dollar Photo.

Trivia[]

  • Jake, Kyle, and Cody created unreleased short skits using a Sony VCR camera before uploading to YouTube.
  • Before creating 3WhiteEskimos in May of 2012, the three founders recorded and uploaded a video titled: Zombie Dawn. The video has since been deleted.
  • On January 15, 2018, Bad Prop Choices would come to an end after two seasons and 17 total episodes.
