64ify (born: August 18) is a Vietnamese-American YouTuber and Super Mario 64 Machinimist. He is best known for his Super Mario 64 content, ranging from memes, machinimas, art, and video essays.

Before his switch to machinima, he mainly made plush videos from 2016 to late 2019, quitting in showing more interest in Super Mario 64 Machinima, though he had experimented with it prior in 2018.

History

2016-2019: Beginnings

64 signed up for YouTube on August 21, 2016 as "TRAIN KID 78". The channel consisted of screen-recordings of other people's video, mainly relating to Five Nights At Freddy's and Thomas & Friends. Until 2017, he made a new channel named "SuperMarioLogansTwin". He only used it to comment on Roblox related videos until it was later deleted sometime in mid-2018. The same year, he created a new second channel called Bootleg Plush. In October 2019, he rebranded his channel from "Bootleg" to "Bootleg Kid 64" when he started to make SM64 Machinimas. On December 6, 64 made a "Top 10 Best SM64 Machinimists of 2019" list on Twitter. He made it for a video he was planning to make called "SM64 Rewind". It was criticized for it having SMG4, as most didn't consider him a machinimist and for also for having himself in it. Some came to his defense as he was still a kid at the time. In the same month, 64 made a new alias, going by "Ahmetpie". The name was originally made by AhmetTR38 and was a combination of Weegeepie's name. Since then, both have had accusations made against them in 2020 and 2024 respectively.

2020-2021: Mario 64, Roblox, rebrands and other projects

On January 8, 2020, he left the SM64 Machinima Community and made a meme Twitter account named "Weegeeify". The meme gimmick was short-lived as would later come back to the SM64 Machinima community, since he was replying to people's tweets from the community as an indication of return. The twitter account would be suspended weeks after its creation for unknown reasons. 64 made and went by a new alias with the name "SuperBoltGlitchy64" in the same month, also being short-lived.

64 later made a new twitter account with the Weegeeify name. He created a gimmick account named "Placed12th Screams" on January 18, 2020. The account is based off a clip made by animator Mayo. On January 20, the account was later deactivated due to 64 not being able to handle an account with many followers, which were in the hundreds. After the deactivation, he continued to be active on his Weegeeify account until it was later deactivated.

In February 2020, he decided to start making Roblox content as the alias "XB351". In February, he made a Twitter account with the name and would post drawings of Roblox avatars and sometimes OCs on twitter. Later in February, he made a YouTube channel with the same name. On it, he would make commentary/review type videos on Roblox games or people. The videos took heavy inspiration from Epikrika, Twikipedia, and Paze. He remained active on both his XB351 Twitter and YouTube channel, until later deleting and deactivating both accounts, leading to the creation of the new alias called "Stafftastic" in March. He continued to make Roblox videos and remain active on Twitter. During March, the 12thScreams account would later be reactivated and return to activity on the 4th but was short lived. On April 12, the email connected to the Stafftastic channel had its password changed, presumably getting password guessed, leading him to make a new channel, but was shortly deleted after. He quit making Roblox content in the same month.

On May 4, 2020, 64 created a third new channel and Twitter account with the new alias "Gampyz". On the channel, he made commentary videos about the SM64 Machinima community, commentating on dramas happening within it. On the Twitter account, he would occasionally tweet SM64 meme related videos, pictures, and tweets. He also talked about controversy in the Splatoon and SM64 Machinima community on it.

In the same month, 64 created a short-lived series called "Content Cop 64", inspired by Idubbbz' series with the same name but with a "64" at the end added. Only 3 videos from the series were made and ended on the third video on May 16th due to a calling out by someone in the machinima community, commenting on the 3rd Content Cop 64 video criticizing it for invading the privacy of the person being talked about in the video which were said by the guest in it. It was later deleted and 64 later apologized for making the video, saying he was going to "continue making machinimas as normal". Content Cop 64 has not returned since.

64 created a new alias named "Camptendo", but later changed it after 3 days. On May 25, 2020, he later changed his name to "64ify". Due to a fallout with sm64rise in July, he changed his name again on August 3, 2020 and made a new YouTube channel and Twitter account with the name "Betatastic" when he started to create Super Mario 64 Beta related content, it having an uprising at time. In the same month, he became a play-tester for now cancelled SM64 hack named "Warped Worlds". The Betatastic channel was deleted, as he wanted to stick to being on Twitter, tweeting out memes he created himself. He changed his name to "Mavivo" on August 22, 2020.

In September, 64 made a SM64 beta hack called "Pre64". It attempted to recreate the E3 build of Super Mario 64. The hack was sometime cancelled in the same month. In October, changed his named twice to to "Tuskta" and "Zesizo" on Twitter. Both were short-lived. The Twitter account with both names was later suspended for unknown reasons. He then started to make Henry Stickmin content, while going by "Kucaus". He stopped making that content and left the fandom in the beginning of December, creating a new channel with the name "64ify" and come back to making SM64 content once again on December 16, 2020. On May 22, 2021, he started a podcast called "Machinima Motel" that was later cancelled in October.

On November 25, 2021, 64 got sent a strike on a expose video he made on a infamous person known in the SM64 community for doing many horrible things, although the video was made in April and wasn't touched on until later in the year. The strike was later removed the same day he made a tweet about it. A month later, he got sent 3 full strikes which led to his entire channel getting deleted on December 18. After this, said person who was attacking 64 went on to falsely strike other peoples videos, mostly people that had connections with 64 himself. This situation lasted for nearly 2 weeks and on December 27, everyone that was affected got their strikes removed by the person who sent them in the first place afterwards. 64 later released his 2021 Year in Review about SM64 Machinima when his channel was reinstated.

2022-2023: SMG4 related contributions

On October 1 2022, SMG4's Twitter and Discord accounts got hacked. During the situation, 64 snatched the handle in order to protect it until Luke got his Twitter and Discord accounts back. The next day, he got them back and his twitter handle was later returned. SMG4 later followed 64. In 2023, he became a contributor for SMG4 Accommodations as a thumbnail artist from March to December 2023. He did 2 thumbnails for the project.
