ABS-CBN (an initialism of its two predecessors' names, Alto Broadcasting System and Chronicle Broadcasting Network) is a Filipino media company based in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is the Philippines' largest entertainment, media conglomerate, and television network, in terms of revenue, operating income, net income, assets, equity, market capitalization and number of employees. The namesake network is the flagship property of the ABS-CBN Corporation, a company under Lopez Holdings Corporation owned by the López family of Iloilo.

ABS-CBN Entertainment[]

The channel itself began in July 16, 2008 using simply the name ABS-CBN and its 2000–2014 logo, but nothing was uploaded on YouTube at first. Later on, however, it posted their first ever video was named, ABS CBN Summer Station ID 2009. They then posted the Christmas Station ID in November 4, 2009, which amassed them over 42M+ views. The name of the YouTube channel was changed from ABS-CBN to ABS-CBN Entertainment when the network changed the network's 2000 logo to the current 2014 one (with the white square, thick black vertical line and RGB rings, and modified ABS-CBN text). The word "Entertainment" (set in Gotham typeface) was also added under the 2014 ABS-CBN logo upon the name change.

It is notable for posting entertainment-related videos, highlights of ABS-CBN shows, and full episodes of the network's past and present shows. It is the 17th most viewed channel on YouTube with 54.24 billion views.

ABS-CBN News[]

ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs, known on-air as ABS-CBN News (formerly known as ABS-CBN News and Public Affairs), is the news division of Philippine media conglomerate ABS-CBN Corporation. The division is the country's largest international news gathering and broadcast organization, maintaining several foreign news bureaus and offices through ABS-CBN's Global division.

The division generates news output for the media conglomerate media assets such as the former ABS-CBN network (including its former free-to-air television and radio stations) and its current ad-interim replacements Kapamilya Channel and A2Z, cable television through ANC and TeleRadyo Serbisyo (formerly DZMM 630), international channel TFC, and news websites news.abs-cbn.com and patrol.ph, which the former ranks as the top news website in the country as of November 2021.

The channel is notable for posting news highlights from news programs of ABS-CBN such as TV Patrol. It began on October 22, 2009 one year and three months after the YouTube channel for ABS-CBN's entertainment division was launched. Its first video posted to the channel of the network's news division is "Lupang Arenda residents have more than floods to worry about" of ABS-CBN's news program TV Patrol World (later reverted back to its original name TV Patrol eight months later on June 30, 2010).

YouTube hacking incident[]

On November 3, 2020, the YouTube channels of ABS-CBN News and ANC 24/7 were terminated for several hours, allegedly due to a “violation of YouTube’s Terms of Service.” It is unclear what the violation was, however, it was later confirmed by YouTube that the channels were targeted by hackers instead. Both channels were reinstated on the same day, at around at 3:58 P.M (PHT).
