David Macdonald (born: 1994 [age 30–31]),[3] better known online as aGameScout and aSongScout, is an American YouTuber mainly focused on NES Tetris gaming and documentary videos on the former channel and musical instrument videos on the latter channel. He has been a fan of CTWC (Classic Tetris World Championships) and has watched it since 2016.

David mainly posts Tetris documentaries on his main channel, aGameScout, as well as gaming videos and recaps of experiences he's had at CTWC, and gaming videos. He also makes recaps of CTM (Classic Tetris Monthly) games. He highlights the best games of each round and summarizes each game from that match. Although, he does not make them anymore. He also makes other videos about Tetris, like explaining the Tetris Scene and Community, explaining how World Records have been set in tetris, and who some of the best Tetris players are. He also makes videos on his Tetris games where he set is personal bests, and also other Tetris accomplishments. On his second channel, aSongScout, he made videos about another passion he has, music. He mainly plays the piano on there. However, it is currently inactive, posting nearly 4 years ago.

  • He reached a maxout (which occurs when you reach one million points) in NES Tetris,[4] and it was one of his biggest accomplishments in Tetris ever.
  • In the 2022 CTWC Championships, he qualified for the Silver Bracket, which is for the lower skilled players, in the 70th seed.
  • He has 2 videos over 10 million views, one from each channel.
