AVerMedia Technologies is a technology hardware manufacturer headquartered in New Taipei City, Taiwan.

History[]

AVerMedia was founded in 1990 by Michael Kuo. A year later, in 1991, AVerMedia established its first international site in the United States, in Fremont, California. In 1996, AVerMedia obtained an ISO 9002 Quality Management certification. In 1998, AVerMedia established its first European location with one in Milton Keynes, England. In 2000, AVerMedia established locations in Germany, China, and Spain. In 2005, new locations were established in Bangkok, Thailand and Paris, France. In 2007, the company established the European Operational Headquarters in the Netherlands.

In 2008, AVerMedia released the Volar GPS 805, a TV tuner solution with GPS for laptops. In 2009, AVerMedia released the AVerTV TwinStar and established a location in Tokyo, Japan.

In 2019, AVerMedia released a 4K capture card for desktop, which received multiple awards.
