Abdallah Elayan[citation needed] (born: May 27, 1986 ),[citation needed] better known online as AbdallahSmash, is an American YouTuber with Jordanian descent[citation needed], a Nintendo brand ambassador, and Let's Player. He is mostly known for his playthroughs of the Yo-Kai Watch series, but also plays other Nintendo game series such as Animal Crossing, Pokémon and The Legend of Zelda. Like many Nintendo-focused YouTubers, he posts reaction videos to Nintendo Direct broadcasts where he comments on the announcements made during the presentation.
History[]
Abdallah created his YouTube channel on May 7, 2009. He started by uploading low-quality videos showing gameplay of Super Smash Bros. Melee on the Nintendo GameCube. In a YouTube comment, Abdallah said that his username, AbdallahSmash, was inspired by his old gameplay videos of the Super Smash Bros series.
On December 9 2011, Abdallah uploaded his first gameplay of a Mario Kart 7 time trial. In a YouTube comment, Abdallah said that the video had motivated him to become a YouTuber. On December 18, the very first commentary video from Abdallah came, it is about his first video of his online race in MK7.
On Nov 5, 2015, he uploaded the first part of his walkthrough for the first Yo-Kai Watch game. He gained popularity by playing through various Yo-Kai Watch games since then; including Yo-Kai Watch 2, Yo-Kai Watch 3 and Yo-Kai Watch: Blasters.
On August 16, 2017, Abdallah created the AbdallahKids channel. As the name suggests, it is a kid-friendly channel that appeals to kids only. He used this channel to upload gameplay videos of various Nintendo series - it is noteworthy that videos uploaded to this channel did not feature commentary from Abdallah, instead showing off a game purely from a gameplay perspective. Abdallah also used this channel to play games that were not included in the main channel. These games were mostly licensed games and some were games of Sonic the Hedgehog. The AbdallahKids channel has been inactive since Nov 23, 2018. Until in June 2022 is the channel active again.
Abdallah won the Super Mario Maker 2 invitational tournament at E3 2019, where he received a trophy from the game's producer, Takashi Tezuka.
