Ableton (formerly known as Official Ableton Channel[1] and AbletonInc[2]) is a German[3] music software company that is known for creating and producing the program Ableton Live.[4]
History[]
Gerald Behles and Robert Henke founded Ableton in 1999.[5][6] In 2001, the duo created Ableton Live, a type of software that allows people to create music.[6] In December of 2002, the company released Live 2, which allowed for the recording of unlimited takes of audio on an unlimited number of tracks.[7] In 2013, Ableton released Push, a product that had the ability to provide independence from a computer in order to maintain a moment with music.[8][9] On June 6, 2017, the company acquired Cycling '74.[10]
