Ado (born: October 24, 2002).[1] is a Japanese pop singer and Utaite[citation needed] known for making the song "Usseewa" (うっせぇわ)[2], which has over two hundred million views on YouTube. She even worked on other animes such as One Piece.[citation needed]
She is known for never showing her face, her deep voice, her passionate performances and her ability to convey many types of emotions through her singing.
Personal life[]
Ado was born in Tokyo, Japan on October 24, 2002. When she was in elementary school she drew, but she was made fun of. This contributed to her pessimistic mindset, in which she felt insecure about everything she did. Ado is still pessimistic and screamed in embarrassment when she reacted to her own live performance[3]. She became interested in music when she was twelve years old, when she watched Niconico on her Nintendo 3DS.[4]
Ado is a very introverted person. She mentioned that she had to be alone when recording her music because the presence of others made her feel nervous and, therefore, unable to sing at her full capacity. Though most commonly categorized as a J-pop artist, Ado doesn't want to settle down for one style but try out various styles instead, such as rap.
She doesn't show her face but instead prefers to use various avatars. Though there are many of those, her most commonly used depiction is a character called Chando (チャンド), a woman with long blue hair and blue eyes that occasionally sport slit pupils, a jacket, pants, and shoes that are all blackish blue, and a white undershirt with a Western bow tie that is decorated with a blue rose. Overall, dark blue is her primary representative color and the blue rose is her most recognized symbol.

She started to upload in 2018, by making J-pop and Vocaloid covers, until she debuted with Usseewa, a day before her 18th birthday, becoming a massive hit, ranking #1 on Billboard Japan, and reaching one hundred million views on YouTube in less than five months. She even made her first album: Kyōgen.[citation needed]
Again, her popularity raised thanks to her song "New Genesis", for the movie One Piece Film: Red, which has over ninety million views as of November 26, 2022.[citation needed]
She currently belongs to the company Cloud Nine[5] and lives in her birthplace, Tokyo.[citation needed]
On June 26, 2024, the idol group Phantom Siita, which Ado coaches, made their debut with the single "Otomodachi". The members, Mona, Miu, Rinka, Hisui and Moka, were chosen from about 4000 applicants.[6] As of August 2024, the youngest member is Mona at age 16 and the oldest is Hisui at age 21.[7] Their theme is "retro horror" and they aim to create a new image that stands out among Japanese idols.
