Akcent (Romanian: [akˈt͡ʃent]) is a Romanian dance pop group formed by Adrian Sînă and Ramona Barta in 1999.[1] Their debut album Senzatzia was released in 2000.[2]
"Kylie" is their first commercially successful single.[3] In 2006, they released another single "Jokero", in collaboration with Romanian singer Nico.[4] It became their first number-one single on the Romanian Top 100.[5] Due to several conflicts, the band split in 2013 and Adrian became the solo member of it under the name.[6]

Early years[]
Adrian Sînă formed the band in 1999 with Ramona Barta. Their studio album Senzatzia (The Sensation)[7] did not do well and Barta split from Sînă.[8][9]
It converted into a boyband when Sînă introduced Marius Nedelcu,[10] Mihai Gruia and Sorin Brotnei to the group.[11] Akcent's debut album În culori (In colors) was released in Romania on January 10, 2002.[12] It has a hit single "Ți-am promis" from it.[13]

Akcent won Best Group (Dragoste de închiriat) MTV Romania Music Awards in 2006.[14]
