Alan Chikin Chow[1] (born: November 15, 1996 ) is an American[2] YouTuber best known for his vlogs, pranks, etc. He is also known for his drama show named Alan's Universe.[3][4]
Personal life[]
Alan earned his Bachelors Degree from University of Southern California studying screenwriting and business administration.[3] His career in content creation also started during his time at the University of Southern California as a way to make his family laugh.[3]
History[]
Chow began his career as a model for JC Penney and began to book roles on Disney Channel TV series including I Didn't Do It, Grey's Anatomy, and Hulo's Into the Dark.[5] He was also a voice actor for the popular anime series One Piece.[5]
Alan would usually upload his videos on his TikTok prior to the transition to YouTube. On February 15, 2019, Alan would upload his first video to his TikTok account.[6] He would upload his second video on March 2, 2019.[7] On February 2, 2020, Alan would create his YouTube channel, and his first video was a video from his TikTok account.[8] Alan uploaded his first long-form video on May 30, 2020.[9] He would later post his second long-form video on June 20, 2020.[10]
Subsequently, Alan would launch his drama series Alan’s Universe, a high school drama series about love and friendships.[3][11] Alan’s Universe has garnered over 250M views across episodes and has been featured on Good Morning America and CBS News.[3][12][13] His channel would become devoted to Alan's Universe, eventually leading to the change of the channel name.
In June 2024, he signed with the talent agency, CAA.[14]
