Personal life[]
When she was two years old, she and her brother, Jake, were in a car crash that left her paralyzed from the waist down, which made her use a wheelchair.[1]
She went to high school at Ridgewood High School, where she starred in school musicals and was senior class president.[2]
In 2015, she became the first actor in a wheelchair on Broadway.[3]
She won a Tony Award for the Best Supporting Actress In a Musical on c. June 10, 2019, making her the first actor in a wheelchair to win a Tony Award.[4]
