Egbert Nathaniel Dawkins III (born: January 7, 1979 (1979-01-07) [age 46]), better known professionally as Aloe Blacc, is an American musician known for his music.

Life[]

Blacc was born on January 7, 1979, in Orange County, California. He began playing a rented trumpet in the third grade, later buying it after taking more interest in the instrument.

Career[]

Blacc and record producer Exile formed Emanon in 1995. The duo released their first mixtape in 1996, followed by their first EP in 1999, titled Acid 9. In 2003, Blacc would launch his career as a solo artist, releasing two EPs, and signing to a record label in 2008.

In 2010, Blacc released one of his most popular albums as a solo artist, titled Good Things. Popular singles such as "I Need a Dollar" and "Loving You Is Killing Me" rose to the top of various charts. In 2013, he and Avicii collaborated on the song "Wake Me Up", another popular song by him.

Channel[]

Blacc created his channel on May 12, 2006, and he uploaded his first video on the same day. He would upload live recordings of himself singing or performing, and he currently uploads music videos and audio to his channel.
