But what if you have no items?

―Alpha's nether roof escape

Here's how you escape.

―Alpha's main catchphrase (10,000 IQ)

Shaan (born: July 24, 2008 (2008-07-24) [age 16]),[1][2] better known online as Alpha (formerly DiamondGuy), is an American YouTuber known for his videos about Minecraft. Many of his videos include escaping prisons, informative commentary, and doing other challenges in the game. In his bio, he has a quote by Walt Disney: "It's kind of fun to do the impossible." He gained popularity from YouTube Shorts.

History[]

He started his YouTube channel on October 19, 2019, at the age of 11. In 2022, his biggest project was creating a Minecraft comic book called "Minecraft: Prison Escape." The free version is online here, and the paperback is available on Amazon at https://amzn.to/3V8w5W7. On April 12, 2023, Alpha revealed his face, and two months later, he made his first vlog about his trip to Miami, Florida. Soon after reaching 200K subscribers, he created a store and released merchandise.

Content[]

Alpha's most popular video is titled Escaping the Minecraft Nether with NO ITEMS, gaining over 20 million views and 1 million likes. For about 2 years, it was Can You Escape This Minecraft TNT Prison? with 10 million views, which is now less than I Built The Aether Dimension. His shorts started with Minecraft challenges like Minecraft, But Damage Gives OP Items... or other topics like I renamed every item in Minecraft... Soon, Alpha occasionally started to post longer videos, such as Can I Beat My Viewer's Minecraft Escape Room? and This Escape Room Has 64 Levels... His most viewed longer video is titled Can You Escape The TALLEST Minecraft Prison?, with over 170,000 views. Alpha wanted to create a "new idea similar to prisons and escape rooms," so he made a two-player prison called Can We Escape This Minecraft Sky Prison?. In this video, he he collaborated for the first time with the YouTuber Panimal, known for his videos about the "Smartest Minecraft Player" and "You Control" trends. Alpha also included SpikeyBuilder in his most complex escape room, Escaping a Three-Player Prison. Alpha's first IRL video is called I Played Minecraft in Real Life, where he punched a tree, touched grass, and cooked eggs. Currently, Alpha's content has expanded to Minecraft mods, facts, resource packs, challenges, and building.

AlphaTwo[]

He also has a second channel called AlphaTwo with over 4,000 subscribers, where he uploads "random ridiculous videos i wouldn't upload to my main channel." Previously, these videos consisted of Minecraft MLGs, memes, and clips from his main channel. Two were related to the "Mr Incredible Becoming Canny/Uncanny" meme, and they gained a lot of popularity. Alpha soon started uploading 10-15 second shorts where he reviews Feastables products, a chocolate brand by the YouTuber MrBeast. One video about Karl Gummies gained over a million views. Now, he is also uploading IRL videos, such as trying gun shooting or ordering a $2 subway.
