AlzheimersResearch UK is an English YouTube channel and an organization about Alzheimer's disease. They are known for making a series of videos, called A Walk Through Dementia.

The organization was founded in 1992 as a research project, which their purpose is to cure dementia through research.[1] In 1994, they did a fundrasing launch at the House of Lords.

Since then, they funded over £171 million ($217,187,100 USD).[2]

The channel was created on March 3, 2011, and began uploading on the same day. On that day, they uploaded 4 videos. In 2016, they made their first viral series, A Walk Through Dementia, one of which has over 3.2 million views.

This is one of their most influential series on the channel. The series is showing how it looks like being someone with dementia, as a promotion of the Google Cardboard app.

#ShareTheOrange[]

#ShareTheOrange is a series where they demonstrate dementia with an orange, which an orange represents a memory, and with Alzheimer's, the links to the "cells" are damaged, resulting memory loss. They also mentioned that a brain with Alzheimer's can weigh 140 grams less than a healthy brain, which is a weight of an orange.[3]

For A Cure[]

For A Cure is a series talking about dementia and talking about how Alzheimer's Research UK will find a cure to dementia.
