Joseph (born: November 17, 2008), better known as AmazedBot, or simply Amazed, is an American YouTuber and internet personality known for his content on Roblox games such as Rivals and Jailbreak. He also used to feature Roblox Arsenal on his channel.
Personal life[]
Joseph was born on November 17, 2008, in Nashville, Tennessee. He is over 5'10" (177 centimeters) tall. Joseph currently lives in the state of New York with his parents and twin sister, Vicky. He has a pet dog named Louie, a rabbit named Benji and several parrots. He plays the piano professionally, and has won several piano competitions, including the Grand Prize in an international piano festival. He has also played at Carnegie Hall in New York City. He is currently in high school (11th grade).
Content[]
AmazedBot is well-known for his Roblox content. His content usually consists of Roblox Rivals update/guide videos and livestreams. With over 21 thousand subscribers and over 1.5 million video views[1], he is considered a well-known creator within many Roblox communities. He also has over 1 thousand followers on X (formerly Twitter).[2] He was a FreshCut partner until its closure on June 14, 2024.[3] Amazed has been creating content since 2017. He uses OBS Studio to record his videos and livestream, and DaVinci Resolve to edit.
Arsenal[]
Amazed started playing Roblox Arsenal in 2019. Amazed created Arsenal content from November 2021 to February 2022. He was forcibly stopped after being banned by Arsenal developer xonae. He hosted several Arsenal tournaments[4], events, and livestreamed the Night's End event daily.[5]
Jailbreak[]
Amazed started playing Roblox Jailbreak in July 2017 when he was 8 years old, shortly after the games release. He owns many rare and OG Jailbreak items, such as the Brulee, JB8, Raptor, Pixel Texture, and more. Amazed no longer creates content on Jailbreak consistently, after switching his focus to Rivals in July 2024[6]. Amazed earned his first OG Level 5 Hyperchrome, HyperDiamondLvl5, on June 5th 2023.[7] He consistently made Jailbreak content from February 2022 to July 2024, but his first Jailbreak video dates back to November 2018.
Jailbreak News[]
AmazedBot is the owner of the Jailbreak News Twitter/X account @JailbreakCrave which has 4,000+ followers.[8] This account has received interactions from several prominent figures such as asimo3089[9], badccvoid[10], and the founder of Roblox David Baszucki[11]. PikachuWolverine, a Roblox Jailbreak game moderator, is now the main owner of this account. The creator of Roblox Jailbreak, asimo3089, used to follow this account.
Jailbreak Winterfest[]
Jailbreak Winterfest was a Roblox Jailbreak event hosted by AmazedBot that ran from December 2023 to January 2024, featuring a Jailbreak YouTuber tournament video series, community events with robux prizes, and an Awards show. Well-known participants of the tournament include HelloItsVG, Neatzo, phindr, and Model8197.[12] Asimo3089, the creator of Jailbreak, and MyUsernamesThis, a popular Jailbreak creator, were featured in the finale episode of the tournament as special guests. The 2 winners of the tournament were TSHenry139 and Sundy, who received 25,000 robux each and in-game cash.[13] Winners of the Jailbreak Awards received the Jailbreak Awards Crown of Excellence - 2023 exclusive UGC item.[14] A free UGC limited with 400 copies called the Jailbreak Awards Guardian's Swordpack - 2023 was available to fans who voted for the Jailbreak Awards on the JB Values website. Jailbreak Winterfest was also sponsored by JB Values.
History[]
AmazedBot had several YouTube channels before creating his current channel. His first YouTube channel was called 'JoePlayz Games', originally 'Infinite Parts', and was active from November 2017 to August 2019. It was deleted by YouTube because it broke the policy disallowing livestreaming under the age of 13 without parental supervision. It mainly consisted of Roblox Jailbreak content, and the most viewed video on the channel was titled 'Jailbreak 39 | I GOT IN THE WATER SERVER! | User and Kreek Joined!' AmazedBot's first public video on his current channel is "Tiger & Panda - HOW TO ESCAPE JAIL IN Roblox Jailbreak!!", posted on January 30th, 2020. His current channel was originally called 'Tiger & Panda' because it was meant to be a collaboration channel between him and his sister, Vicky, similar to channels like Sis vs Bro. The channel name was changed to AmazedBot on April 19th, 2021.[15]
Username[]
Amazed's former username across most platforms was 'JoePlayz' or 'JoePlayz Games'. He decided to change his Roblox username in December 2019. He came up with the name Amazed_Boi, but the next day changed it to AmazedBot.[16]
Roblox[]
Amazed joined Roblox when he was 8 years old, on July 13, 2017[17]. He found Roblox by searching "fun free games" on a PC at his local library. His original account username was 'joeyiscoolaid' and is currently AmazedBot. He bought the Headless Horseman bundle on October 6, 2020[18].
Ammunition[]
Amazed is the owner of a Roblox game called Ammunition. The game was created on April 22nd, 2022, and was released into beta on May 7th, 2022. As of May 2024, Ammunition has 15K+ visits. The game is currently discontinued with no plans to update in the near future. It is an arcade-style FPS game, similar to Arsenal. ColRealPro was the lead scripter for the game.[19]
Escape The Public Bathroom Simulator[]
Amazed is the owner of a Roblox game called Escape The Public Bathroom Simulator. The game was released on May 26th, 2021. As of May 2024, Escape The Public Bathroom Simulator has 18K+ visits. It is a joke game made mainly with free models.[20]
Jailbreak Hyperchromes v3[]
Amazed is the owner of a Roblox game called Jailbreak Hyperchromes v3. The game was released on January 15th, 2023. As of May 2024, Jailbreak Hyperchromes v3 has 2K+ visits. It was made to bring attention to the fact that original Roblox Jailbreak Hyperchromes were still possible to recreate after Jailbreak hyperchromes were updated in November 2023. Asimo3089 later responded that they would keep the new hyperchromes anyway.[21]
Controversies[]
Arsenal Ban[]
On February 17th, 2022, AmazedBot was permanently banned from every ROLVe game by Arsenal developer xonae for 'assoc[i]ation with exploiter'.[22] AmazedBot was friends with a well-known exploiter, LolCat, who created Arsenal Skin Game. LolCat let Amazed play on a Roblox account which he had hacked a developer skin onto in Arsenal.[23] This account was seen using the skin in public servers and AmazedBot was later banned on his main account due to this.[24]
This caused drama in the Arsenal community because although he used an exploited account, AmazedBot did not exploit himself. Some players agreed with the ban reason, but didn't agree with the permanent ban duration. Other players agreed with AmazedBot that he shouldn't have been banned at all. One argument made by supporters of AmazedBot during this drama was that the ROLVe Anti-Cheat banned actual exploiters for 365 days at the time. Amazed was level 200+ and owned multiple exclusive skins.[25]
AmazedBot later released a joke song titled Xonae Please Unban Me on October 18, 2022, which currently has 1,000+ views on YouTube and 1,000+ streams on Spotify. The instrumental is also available on streaming platforms. He now creates content on Rivals, but streams Arsenal once a year on February 17 for his 'banniversary'.
