The Anaheim Ducks are an American NHL team. They are currently based in Anaheim, California, United States, and they currently play for the Pacific Division in the Western Conference.
History[]
In 1992, the film The Mighty Ducks was released.[1]
The following year, due to the success of the film, The Walt Disney Company, who was the studio that made The Mighty Ducks, decided to make an actual hockey team, titled The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.[2]
In 2005, after being sold to Henry Samueli, their name was simplified to the Anaheim Ducks.[2]
In 2007, they won their first Stanley Cup title.[3]

On the same day, they uploaded their first video, titled "Ryan Getzlaf on Being Ducks Captain."[4]
On August 18, 2014, they uploaded their first short, titled "ALS Ice Bucket Challenge - Corey Perry."[5]
On October 6, 2020, they uploaded their first livestream, titled "Ducks 2020 Post-Draft Show presented by Honda."[6]
Retired numbers[]
As of April 12, 2025, they have retired four numbers for four individuals.[7]
