Anamanaguchi is an American chiptune-based pop and rock band from New Castle, New York. The band was formed in 2004 and the current members of the band are founders Peter Berkman and James DeVito, as well as members Luke Silas and Ary Warnaar.[1][2]

History[]

The band was formed by former classmates Peter Berkman and James DeVito in Chappaqua, New Castle, Westchester County, New York.[1][3] As of January 2022, the band has released three studio albums, two EPs and twenty-four singles, and contributed to the music of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game and Capsule Silence XXIV.[4] They have also collaborated with HatsuneMiku for their 2016 single, Miku,[5] and composed the soundtrack of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off alongside Joseph Trapanese.[6]

Trivia[]

  • The name came from a mishmash of combinations of "Armani", "Prada", and "Gucci", all fashion companies where the members worked at.[7]
