Ancient Faith (AFM) is an American pan-Orthodox media ministry and department of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America.

History[]

Ancient Faith Ministries was originally founded in 1999 by Fr. Josiah Trenham and Fr. Thomas Hopko. The ministry began as a small internet radio station that broadcast Orthodox Christian music and teaching.

In 2008, AFM, at the time called Ancient Faith Radio, merged with Conciliar Press to create Ancient Faith Ministries, along with other ministry divisions being added later. The radio can still be heard on AFM.

Ancient Faith Ministries includes four main divisions, which include:

  • Ancient Faith Radio: A 24-hour internet radio station that broadcasts Orthodox Christian music, teaching, and interviews.
  • Ancient Faith Publishing: A publisher of Orthodox Christian books, icons, jewelry, music, and gifts launched in 2005.
  • Ancient Faith Blogs: A blog network launched in 2010 which features Orthodox Christian writers and thinkers who write on topics such as theology, culture, art, parish, and family life.
  • Ancient Faith Films: A producer of Orthodox Christian films and videos launched in 2013.

Channel[]

The channel was created on December 27, 2013, and the first video was uploaded on June 9, 2014. The channel uploads videos of saints and other members of the church teaching others of their religion.
