Anisha moved to Mumbai to be cast as an actress in Bollywood. Although she was not successful, she decided that wanted to pursue her career and filmography.[1]
YouTube[]
She eyed being a YouTuber as a career choice, and used the name "Rickshawali" as an icon of feminism, since an overwhelming majority of rickshaw drivers are men.[2]
She attended YouTube FanFest 2018. She also performed a ramp-walk at Bombay Fashion Walk, 2019.
Today, the content on her channel is in mixed genres, ranging from comedy videos to storytimes, and vlogs to short film reviews. The name of the channel was later changed to her real name.
Personal life[]
Anisha is of Indian descent, and was born and raised in Germany and Switzerland. She spent her childhood in poverty, and her family was on the verge of destitution.[3]
Her father came from a conservative background, and did not consent to her attending an acting school where she was accepted. She lied to her family pretending to study Business Studies, while actually attending acting school, living a "double life."[2]
She completed education from Lee Strasberg Institute in the United States, after which she relocated to India, settling in Mumbai. Her father passed away before she started her YouTube channel.[3]
