Raúl Álvarez Genes (born: November 5, 1988), better known online as AuronPlay (or simply Auron), is a Spanish YouTuber who uploads comedy videos to his YouTube channel. He is one of the oldest Spanish vloggers on the platform.
Although he was generally known for his commentaries of different YouTubers, he now mostly devotes his channel to making small humorous analyses to denigrating YouTube videos and telephone jokes and to talk about current social affairs. He went to Rome and the Vatican, there, the Pope made him a pizza.

In the beginning, back in 2007, on his first videos uploaded at the time he used to wear a mask to hide his face while making content. In 2008, his videos were basically judgments of different themes, mostly casual.
In 2012, he dedicated himself to making several "video-reviews" to different YouTubers, as was JPelirrojo, who almost had his channel closed. He also criticized the gaming phenomenon. His critical vision soon caused him many enemies and conflicts with other YouTubers, which resulted in the closure of his channel by strikes and led him to rethink what content should go up.
From 2013 to today, his channel focuses on humorous criticism of other non-popular videos on the network. He also tends to make phone jokes and compilations of messages from funnier forums. This new content made his fame considerably increase on the Internet, thus reaching 1 million subscribers at the beginning of 2015.
His video "The controversy of GHVIP" generated a lot of social mobilization in the networks and a great impact on the media press. In July 2015, he published the video Los Burlaos, starring Eduardo García, where he criticized his song getting a great impact and a drastic increase in views and subscribers. From that video, several related ones were made. It has many deleted and hard-to-find videos (through third parties). Most of his 2012-2013 videos have been privated since the end of 2016.
His current videos are very different from those of before, focused more on humor and less on criticism. That new approach promoted the "juices" meme.
