Risu Ayunda (アユンダ・リス) (born: January 15, 2004 (2004-01-15))^{[citation needed]} is an Indonesian VTuber affiliated with Hololive. She is part of Hololive's first generation of Indonesian VTubers alongside Moona Hoshinova and Airani Iofifteen.

Content

Risu debuted on April 10, 2020, and her debut was followed up by two streams of her playing the games Stardew Valley, Bastion and Plants VS Zombies. She excelled at Plants VS Zombies but was terrible at DOOM, due to her lack of sense of direction.

She has also played Resident Evil: Village, Devour, NieR:Automata, NieR:Replicant, Minecraft, Story of Seasons, Tales of Arise, Phasmophobia, UnderTale, Garctic Phone, Papers, please, One Hand Clapping, Dead by Daylight, Super Bomberman R Online, Friday Night Funkin', Monster Hunter Rise, Slither.io, UnderTale, Ring Fit Adventure, Pummel Party, Hades, Fall Guys, The Convenience Store, Egg is Broken, My Lovely Daughter, ZUMA, Stardew Valley, Bastion and The Henry Stickmin Collection.^{[citation needed]}

Risu's first chatting streams were in Bahasa Indonesian, therefore alienating a lot of viewers who were not from her country, but her fourth one was in English and more accessible to her international viewers. In between her uploads, she would upload the occasional shitpost like "Your Brain When You Can't Sleep at 3AM", as well as short clips celebrating Airani's birthday and Moona's graduation. Ayunda also has dabbled in drawing and reading tarot cards.

Four months after her debut Risu gained 100,000 subscribers, and celebrated by making two consecutive streams. Before this, for 90K subscribers, she had a new costume. Her first cover was of the song Ochame Kinou, and she has also covered MIRA - Kanaria. A lot of her newer subscribers had come from her song covers, as Risu had a wide vocal range and was constantly getting requests to cover songs. She has covered a lot of songs by her fellow talents, such as Watame's Lullaby. ^{[citation needed]}

She also streams herself reading to her audience, the first light novel she read being I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level followed by SO I'M A SPIDER, SO WHAT ?.

Nonstop Nut November

Between 1-30th November 2020, Risu would make daily shitposts reminding her viewers to nut nonstop. She repeated this for 2021.^{[citation needed]}

Collaborations

She has also played Project Winter with Moona and Iofi. She, along with Moona, Reine and Calli, covered The Baddest- K/D. Despite being scared of dogs, Ayunda is a huge fan of Korone Inugami. The two eventually collaborated when Risu played Phasmophobia, and Korone nicknamed her "Okakoro child".

She once released a duet of "DADDY! DADDY! DO!" with Oga Aragami, a professional singer, and a Holostars member she is especially close with due to their shared birthdays and multiple collaborations, with each video featuring themselves as the main vocals for the song and the other as backing vocalist. Oga Aragami designed her mascots Risuarus and Riscot. Once a month, she will stream a game with the group "Kirakira Collab" (キラキラコラボ), along with Airani Iofifteen, Aruran and Oga. She also has a number of collaborations with Zen Gunawan of Maha5. ^{[citation needed]}

She collaborated with Fonzi to create a piano cover of Gurenge - LiSA.

Though Risu does not often collaborate with hololive's EN branch, her, Gura and Anya played Dead by Daylight in one stream.

With the debut of the new generation of Hololive Indonesia, Zeta, Anya and Risu played Minecraft together. She and Kaela have played Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes. Zeta, Kaela, Anya and Risu played Escape Simulator in a stream, and all three of the new wave have streamed Dead by Daylight with her and Anya. Kobo and Risu have also reviewed memes together and streamed Minecraft, a collab that also featured Reine.

Risu was also part of the HoloENxID Mario Kart 8 Tournament, part of the HoloIDxHoloStars Among Us Tournament, and part of the HoloID/EN/JP Among Us collab. ^{[citation needed]}

Design

Her original character designer is Yatomi. Yatomi also illustrated Mashiro Kujo. ^{[citation needed]}

Risu has two pairs of ears.

She is 153 cm tall.^{[citation needed]}

Her additional illustrators are Kanbutsu and Rikka.

Her second, third and fourth outfits were rigged by Brian Tsui and Himono respectively. Her fifth outfit was rigged by Enma Akatsuki.

Lore

She is a squirrel girl who comes from a magicial forest. She once lost her way in the human realm, but was then saved by a kind-hearted woman with whom she is now living. She treats this woman as her big sis and debuted as a VTuber just to repay her.

• Later, Risu revealed that she was a witch who was a victim of a witch hunt, and transferred her soul to her squirrel familiar to escape being killed from hordes of angry humans since they hated magic.^{[citation needed]}

• Due to her vocal range being wide even for a singer, Risuners joke that her voice keeps gaining new DLC voicebanks. An example of this would be Risu making a unique squeal when someone donated $1K to her,
• There is also a running joke in the Hololive viewerbase that she is the daughter of Korone and Okayu. When Korone and Ayunda collab, expect a lot of YouTube comments to mention "mother-daughter family time".^{[citation needed]}
• Since she was originally meant to be named "Tupaia Splendidula", a reference to the scientific name of her squirrel species, Ruddy Treeshrew.
