BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys; Jin (born: December 4, 1992
; Suga (also known as Agust D; born: March 9, 1993 ); J-Hope (born: February 18, 1994 ); RM (formerly Rap Monster; born: September 12, 1994 ); Jimin (born: October 13, 1995 ); V (born: December 30, 1995 ) and Jungkook (born: September 1, 1997 ) is a South Korean boy band formed in Seoul in 2013. The septet co-writes and produces much of their output. Originally a hip hop group, their musical style has evolved to include a wide range of genres. Their lyrics, often focused on personal and social commentary, touch on the themes of mental health, troubles of school-age youth, loss, the journey towards loving oneself, and individualism. Their work features references to literature and psychological concepts and includes an alternative universe storyline. Popular for their live performances, the group have staged several world tours.Trivia
