BBC Earth is a brand used by BBC Studios that shows wildlife from across the globe. It uploads videos from shows such as the Planet Earth franchise, Spy in the Wild and The Trials of Life. While BBC Earth Kids uploads videos from shows such as the Deadly franchise.

History[]

On February 25, 2009, BBC Earth created their YouTube channel. The first video was uploaded on May 18, 2009, titled "Nile Ibis Birds Create Swimming Pools | BBC Earth".

On June 6, 2009, BBC Earth's channel had its first archive on the Wayback Machine. At the time, it had 1,824 subscribers.[1]
