BBC News is a business division of BBC responsible for worldwide news and broadcasting.[1] It was founded on November 14, 1922.
Early history[]
BBC News broadcasted its first radio bulletin in 1922. Attempts to ban the BBC from broadcasting news were made by newspaper publishers to avoid competition. It created its own news operation in 1934. During Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953, the public's interest in live television was stimulated.
Channel[]
The channel was created on April 8, 2006, and the first video was uploaded on October 24, 2013. The channel uploads news footage that BBC News broadcasts onto its official television channel.
