BBC News is a business division of BBC responsible for worldwide news and broadcasting.[2]
Early history[]
BBC News broadcasted its first radio bulletin on November 14, 1922.[3] It created its own television operation in 1935.[4] During Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953, the public's interest in live television was stimulated.[5]
Channel[]
The channel was created on April 8, 2006,[6] and the first video was uploaded on August 13, 2013.[7] The channel uploads news footage that BBC News broadcasts onto its official television channel.[8]

- On May 30, 2022, BBC News surpassed the BBC in subscribers, according to YouTube's API.[9]
- Between February 24-26, BBC News gained 300K subscribers because of the Russia-Ukraine war.[9]
