Yo boys! Welcome back to another video!

―BFordLancer

Jacob "Jake" Barford (born: September 7, 1997 (1997-09-07) [age 28]), better known online as BFordLancer or BFord, and formerly BFordLancer48, is an American gaming YouTuber. He mostly plays the latest edition of the FIFA series, most commonly Career Mode. He surpassed 1 million subscribers on YouTube in late May of 2022. He also does football vlogs.

He has many series running, including the Career Mode Experiments (on Manager Career Mode), the Player Rewind/Player Fast Forward/Manager Rewind (also on Manager Career Mode), Social Media Decides My Career Mode (another Manager Career Mode series) and the All-Star Challenge (on Kick-Off Mode and Manager Career Mode). Some of his former series are the Billion Pound Challenge and the Career Mode Showdown as well as the My Player, all on Manager/Player Career Mode.

He also sometimes uploads videos about Ultimate Team, another game mode of FIFA, on the channel, including FUT Draft challenges and formerly a Road-to-Glory.

One time, BFord said he would get the "R9 Haircut" (the haircut footballer Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima had during the 2002 FIFA World Cup) if he hit 1,000,000 subscribers before the end of the year 2021. Although he hit the goal in May 2022, by then it was too late.

His most viewed video is The World Cup of Penalties ONLY! (Qatar 2022), which has over 6 million views.

He started out as a Minecraft YouTuber before making all his Minecraft videos private and starting to do FIFA and Topps Kick content. Today he almost always plays the latest FIFA game, which is currently FIFA 23.

His hometown and favourite club is FC Cincinnati of the MLS. He has a slight hatred of Liverpool and Kylian Mbappé because they "win everything". He likes to make Arsenal and Manchester United into a meme, and also memes Jesse Lingard, Phil Jones, Adebayo Akinfenwa, Patrick Ferry (who messaged him in a Rewind episode where Jake played the career of Ferry, with Jake also flying to Dublin and driving to Enniskillen to meet Ferry), Nathan Collins, and Roy Krishna.

Jake has met several professional footballers in real life, including icons of the game such as Robert Pirès, Joe Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Kaká, Roberto Carlos, and Claude Makélélé as well as current stars including Christian Pulisic, Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer.

He used to work as an assistant to the FC Cincinnati professional FIFA player, Gordon Thornsberry or Fiddle, and also as a pizza driver, but creating YouTube videos is now his sole occupation. He used to live with fellow FIFA YouTuber JarradHD in a house in Cincinnati. However, in early 2022 he moved out and he now lives alone in an apartment in New York.

In 2022, ahead of the FIFA World Cup, he backpacked along with JarradHD to Qatar (the hosts of the tournament). On the way, they went to Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany and Türkiye before arriving in Qatar where he met his idol and the USA's joint all-time record goalscorer (with Clint Dempsey) Landon Donovan (his goal in the 2010 FIFA World Cup against Algeria to qualify for the Round of 16 is the reason Jake "fell in love with football").

His Discord server, Lancer Nation, has amassed over 9,100 members and is a Discord Partner.

Channels[]

BFordLancer[]

Jake's main channel was created as BFordLancer48 on August 26, 2014. He initially made Minecraft videos, before making them all private. He then went onto make FIFA and Topps Kick content. Now, he almost exclusively makes FIFA videos. The channel currently has over 1,72 Million subscribers.

Some of his most popular series include My Player (which has had at least one series on every FIFA from FIFA 16 to FIFA 22), and the All-Star Challenge (which has had episodes since FIFA 20). On November 8 2021, the channel name was changed to BFordLancer.

The Weekly Dab of Football[]

This channel was created on March 31, 2020 as BFordShorts, but the channel started uploading longer videos in November 2021. Initially, it uploaded clips from Jake's main-channel videos, but in 2022, the channel changed its name to MoreBFord. In the middle of 2024 he changed it to The Weekly Dab of Football.

As of May 2022, the most viewed video on it is "1 in a 1,000,000 Football Moments". Since then, Jake initially reacted to football moments. He has also reacted to the most viewed IShowSpeed moments, and a let's-play of Fall Guys. BFord started the Weekly Dab of Footy at the start of the 2022–23 Premier League. He reacts and gives his opinion on what happened in the recent game-week.

Around the same time Jake started a subreddit where his followers and fans share memes and post stuff for him to react to. However, the channel went on 3 month hiatus. There has not been an episode of the Weekly Dab of Footy since October 17, 2022. However, he uploaded again on February 20, 2023, with him ranking the kits for the 2023 MLS season. He has continued to upload since.

Bford PLUS[]

This channel, originally meant to be a second channel, was created on April 21st, 2020. The channel has no videos: the only thing on the channel is a playlist titled "FOOTBALL CHALLENGES!!" of videos involving football challenges uploaded on the main channel.
