Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, abbreviated as BMW is a German multinational manufacturer of luxury vehicles and motorcycles that is Founded on March 7, 1916 by Camillo Castiglioni, Franz Josef Popp and Karl Rapp, Headquartered in Munich, Bavaria.

History[]

Pre-Beginnings[]

On October 22, 1879, Camillo Castiglioni was born in Trieste, Austria-Hungary (Now Italy).

On September 24, 1882, Karl Rapp was born in Ehingen, German Empire (Now Germany).

On January 14, 1886, Franz Josef Popp was born in Vienna, Austria-Hungary (Now Austria).

Beginnings[]

On March 7, 1916, BMW was Founded by Camillo Castiglioni, Franz Josef Popp and Karl Rapp as Bayerische Flugzeugwerke AG.

In 1922, The Company then was named to Bayerische Motoren Werke.

On July 29, 1954, Franz Josef Popp died in Stuttgart, West Germany aged 68.

On December 18, 1957, Camillo Castiglioni died in Rome, Italy aged 78.

On May 26, 1962, Karl Rapp died in Ehingen, German Empire (Now Germany) aged 79.

On January 14, 2006, BMW created their Channel, however, No videos would be uploaded until September 7, 2009.

On August 29, 2009, BMW has it's first Archive on the Wayback Machine. It had 125 Subscribers that Time, and the Join Date is August 1, 2009 instead of January 14, 2006.[1]

On September 7, 2009, BMW uploaded their First Video titled "Chris Pfeiffer rides BMW Tower".

Slogan[]

In 1974, BMW Introduced their First Slogan in North America "The Ultimate Driving Machine", However, in 2010, The Slogan had Changed.[2]

In 2010, BMW changed their Slogan for the Better Appeal for Women called "Joy", However, It was changed 2 Years Later.

In 2012, BMW changed their Slogan again back to "The Ultimate Driving Machine".[3]
