Anders Gjellan, better known online as Back Guy, is a Norwegian YouTuber known for posting memes revolving around fitness. Anders gained prominence for his 'Basically' series, posting memes about a fitness influencer, or a topic inside fitness.

History[]

Anders created his YouTube channel on May 25, 2017, and posted his first video on March 18, 2018, sharing his 4-year muscle-building transformation. He then shared his journey inside powerlifting. Anders created his first meme video on February 14, 2019, titled "Watch this video if you enjoy fitness".[1] Anders began his 'Basically' series on July 3, 2019, about David Laid.[2]

Powerlifting[]

Anders made his powerlifting debut on April 6, 2018, at an open convention in Norway. Anders totaled 1,207lbs. His latest meet took place on September 2, 2021 at powerlifting equipment-free young jun and veteran, where Anders totaled 1,361lbs, which is currently his highest competition powerlifting total.[3]

Personal Life[]

Anders is currently a student at Norwegian University of Science and Technology, enrolling in 2018. In 2023, he obtained a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology.
