Band Aid (formed: 1984) are a supergroup made up of mostly English and Irish singers and 4 sub units, Band Aid 20, Band Aid 30, Band Aid II and the original Band Aid which I'll call Band Aid 10. They rose to fame mainly after they released their cult classic Do They Know It's Christmas? originally written for the 1984 Famine in Ethiopia (which is the same reason Live Aid was held) and changed slightly for Band Aid 30 in 2014 with the new version focusing more on the Ebola Outbreak and Epidemic in West Africa.
