On July 3, 2006, bbcworldnews created their channel.

On June 26, 2007, bbcworldnews has published its first archive on the Wayback Machine. At the time, it had 1,089 subscribers, 3 subscriptions, which were BBC, BBC WorldWide (now BBC Studios), and BenHammersley BBC, and 214 videos, with the latest being posted on June 26, 2007 with the title "Prince Charles: Carbon neutral.".

On August 6, 2009, bbcworldnews had its last archive available. At the time, it had 22,888 subscribers and 428 videos.

Around 2010, bbcworldnews would get deleted.[1]
