Nikunj Lotia[1] (Marathi and Hindi: निकुंज लोटिया; born: November 29, 1989),[2] better known online as Be YouNick (be-unique, or just Nick), is an Indian comedy YouTuber.[citation needed]
Career[]
Lotia started by uploading short comedy videos recorded from his phone. The video that brought him into the limelight was his spoof of the Cricket World Cup theme song Mauka Mauka.[3] He also lived in Goa for almost a year, looking for better occupational options.[citation needed]
He worked as a bartender and eventually at a call support centre all while uploading videos to his channel, due to being unable to meet financial needs.[4] After his Mauka Mauka spoof went viral, he started earning enough from YouTube to sustain himself as a full-time YouTuber.[citation needed]
In 2023, Nikunj made his OTT debut with the Amazon miniTV series Apna Villa co-directing it alongside Vivek Menon and also starring in it.[5]
Personal life[]
Nikunj was born on November 29, 1989 in Dombivli[3] near Mumbai, Maharashtra to a Gujarati family.[2] He graduated from the Sir J.J. School of Architecture in Mumbai.[citation needed]
