Hi, I'm Andrew! I make videos to help give a deeper understanding of your favorite games, both old and new!

―Beta64

Andrew (born: September 27th, 1997),[1] better known online as Beta64, is an American gaming YouTuber known for his documentaries on the development of Nintendo games. By analyzing content leftover in video game files and marketing, as well as through researching old interviews with Nintendo developers, Andrew is able to explain and sometimes visualize scrapped or changed ideas from a video game's development. This allows the audience, in turn, to understand how the final game came to be what it is, and how it could have potentially ended differently.

Secondary Channels[]

Andrew has two secondary channels:

  • Andrew64, for videos that don't fit the narrative of his main channel.
  • Beta64 Live, for livestream archives.

Patreon[]

On February 19, 2021, he announced that he was rebooting his Patreon scheme. The revised scheme currently consists of the following tiers and benefits:

  • Alpha Tier pays $2 a month. The benefits of this include having their name appear in bronze at the start of every Beta64 livestream, access to exclusive outtakes/behind the scenes, access to a podcast called The New Super BetaCast and a special Discord role. They also have access to Patreon-exclusive series titled "Comfort Zone", a series where Andrew plays games he does not typically play on stream, and "Discomfort Zone", a related series where Andrew plays games that are unsettling.
  • Beta Tier pays $5 a month. In addition to all the "Alpha Tier" benefits, patrons will have their name displayed in the end card of every Beta64 episode and will have exclusive access to live streamed premieres. Patrons' names will appear in silver at the start of livestreams.
  • Going Gold! pays $10 a month. They get all the benefits of the lower tiers, however their names now appear in gold.
  • Player's Choice! pays $25 a month. There are currently no exclusive perks for this tier, and it was created for those who would like to further support his work[2].

Trivia[]

  • His channel is named after the Nintendo 64 console, which released in 1996.
