Botchamania is a YouTube series created by Matthew "Maffew" Gregg, presenting compilations of in-ring botches, promo mistakes, embarrassing moments and funny moments inside sports entertainment wrestling. The series has been active since 2008, and has over 460 episodes. Each episode compiles clips from popular wrestling organizations and indie wrestling organizations.

The name "Botchamania" is mixed with WrestleMania and Botch. WrestleMania is the longest and most famous sports entertainment wrestling pay-per-view run by WWE, which has been active since 1985, and 'botch', a term used whenever there is a failed attempt at a wrestling stunt, or failed to say a line during a promo or in commentary.

Botchamania on YouTube has been terminated on nine occasions due to copyright, but does still upload to YouTube on his 10th account 'Botchamania Again' with new episodes once or twice a month.

History[]

Maffew started the series in 2008. His first episode was 'Botchamania 4'. The first three was from a video he found in mid-2007. Maffew said he could create the videos better, so he started the fourth installment. He continued the series for having more unused clips of botched wrestling moments. He would later re-create the first three episodes into a better quality version. The series has started gaining popularity to wrestling fans world-wide, so much so that popular wrestlers inside popular organizations started watching and praising the series. The intros to a Botchamania episode is usually started off by an active wrestler giving an introduction.

Throughout the entire series, Maffew has used the "Earthworm Jim" font for text. The name of the font has been dubbed the "Botchamania font" once the series became popular.

(minus 5 stars to 5 stars). During their review of TNA's 'Victory Road' pay-per-view in 2009, Bryan and Vinny spoke extremely critically of the matches involved. Bryan famously gave a match on the show a rating of "MINUS FIVE STARS!" Maffew included clips from Bryan and Vinny's show into Botchamania 92.
