Nathaniel Peterson[1] (born: September 1, 1981 (1981-09-01) [age 43]),[2] better known online as Coyote Peterson (or simply Coyote), is an American nature specialist from the channel, Brave Wilderness. On the channel, he focuses out into the wild and films animals with his crew that he finds on his way and does commentate and educate people about them. He has gained a lot of exposure for making several videos that was recommended by YouTube, and was put on the Trending page multiple times.[3][4]

Brave Wilderness is a YouTube channel that focuses on Peterson exploring the wilderness, interacting with wild animals, and educating the viewers on what to do when you come into a dangerous animal encounter. 

Peterson became very popular from his series of videos where he was bitten or stung by different animals.[5]

This series is where Coyote is stung or bitten by animals for viewers' education and entertainment, while the crew stands by just in case he is majorly injured, has an allergic reaction, or goes into shock.[5]

In June 2017, Peterson discovered a subspecies of the blue crayfish, although it is not 100% confirmed.[6]
