Breaking Benjamin is an American rock band from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, founded in 1999 by lead singer and guitarist Benjamin Burnley (born: March 10, 1978 (1978-03-10) [age 46]) and drummer Jeremy Hummel. Jeremy left in 2004, replaced by Chad Szeliga (born: December 23, 1976 (1976-12-23) [age 47]), but he left a long time later due to creative differences. Their other two long time members, Aaron Fink, (lead guitar), and Mark Klepaski, (bass guitar), were sued and fired in 2011 for selling the rights to another band to cover the song Blow Me Away without Ben's permission. Ben won the lawsuit, and thus owns all rights to the band's music. Other members that joined includes Jasen Rauch (born: April 24, 1981 (1981-04-24) [age 43]), (lead guitar, strings, programming), Keith Wallen (born: February 24, 1980 (1980-02-24) [age 44]), (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Aaron Bruch, (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Shaun Foist, (drums, percussion, programming).

Since their inception, Breaking Benjamin has released a total of six studio albums, Saturate, (2002), We Are Not Alone, (2004), Phobia, (2006), Dear Agony, (2009), Dark Before Dawn, (2015), and Ember, (2018), two compilation albums, which were Shallow Bay: The Best of Breaking Benjamin, (2011), and Auroa, (2020), and three extended plays, which included Breaking Benjamin, (2001), Live EP, (2004), and So Cold EP, (2004).
