BrightStar Care is an American home-care franchise company founded in 2002 by Shelly Sun and her husband.

History[]

In 2005, the company began franchising its businesses. The company founded BrightStar Senior Living in 2014, which provides retirement communities in various regions. Each of the locations are owned by an independent franchise operator.

There are locations in around thirty-eight states and Canada. In 2016, there were about 300 franchise locations. In 2017, the company employed over 100,000 nurses and caregivers. In 2018, there were 329 locations. That same year, BrightStar Care acquired the company HomeChoice Senior Care. The company provides assisted-living and memory care, in addition to other forms of care, such as ALS care.

The channel was created on October 21, 2009, and the first video was uploaded on October 29, 2010. The channel uploads commercials and interviews.
