Britney Jean Spears (born: December 2, 1981 (1981-12-02) [age 44]) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter, who performs the genres of pop, electro pop, dance pop, and teen pop. During the 1990's and early 2000's, she became one of the most popular pop artists of all time, who has recorded many iconic teen pop songs.

She's best known for her hit singles Toxic, Sometimes, ...Baby One More Time and Oops!...I Did It Again. She was known for her sexually provocative and controversial lyrical subject matter and music videos, and is considered an all time classic as far as teen pop is concerned.

Britney Spears conservatorship case[]

On February 1, 2008, a legal arrangement that forcefully controlled various aspects of Britney Spears' life and finances. The conservatorship was initiated due to concerns about her mental health and was managed by her father, Jamie Spears, and a team of lawyers. It gave them control over her personal and financial decisions, including her spending, communications, and personal choices. It lasted up until November 12, 2021.[2]

A documentary about the case called Framing Britney Spears, released on FX in February 2021. Spears later revealed that she had seen parts of the documentary, stating that she felt humiliated by the perception of her that was presented and that she "cried for two weeks" following the initial broadcast.[3] The following month, the lawyer Samuel D. Ingham III petitioned to permanently replace Jamie with Jodi Montgomery (who was Spears' longtime care manager) as Spears' conservator, citing a 2014 order that determined that she did not have the capacity to consent to any medical treatment.[4]

Relationship with Justin Timberlake[]

In Britney Spears' 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me, which had allegations of infidelity, a secret abortion, and a painful breakup initiated by Justin Timberlake via text message.[5] Timberlake and Spears began dating in 1999 after meeting as Mouseketeers on Disney’s The Mickey Mouse Club.[6] Their relationship ended in 2002, with Spears alleging that Timberlake broke up with her via text message. Spears revealed that she had an abortion during her relationship with Timberlake and that he urged her to get an abortion, he allegeldy claimed they were too young to become parents.[5]
