CBS Evening News, titled as CBS Evening News with Norah O'Donnell, is an American television program known for being the evening edition of CBS News.

Early history[]

CBS Evening News started when station WCBW (now WCBS-TV) was launched in 1941. The CBS television station in New York City would broadcast two daily news programs, being at 2:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., usually on weekdays. On December 7, 1941, after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the news station had given an extensive report on the bombing.

Channel[]

The channel was created on April 24, 2013, and the first video was uploaded on June 18, 2013. Footage of the news from the television station where the evening news division take place is usually uploaded to the channel.
