Caitlin De Ville (born March 9, 1989)[2] is a Zambian[citation needed] electric violinist based in South Africa.[citation needed]
Personal life[]
Caitlin was born in Chingola, but raised in Kitwe.[3]
She got married in April 2014.[4]
Career[]
In an interview, Caitlin said that she and her siblings “were raised as music lovers.”[5]
Caitlin received her first violin at the age of nine,[6] after seeing an electric violin being played on television.[5] She is largely self-taught.[7] At the age of eighteen, she travelled to South Africa to look into a music career.[3]
In 2019, she played with the metal band Turisas, who she learned of when she covered one of their songs on YouTube.[5]
