Callum Aaron McGinley[1] (born: March 11, 1992)[2], better known online as Callux (formerly BlackOps), is an English[citation needed] YouTuber known for his comedic vlogs and collaborations with his close friends.
Early life[]
Callum had leukemia when he was 5. In JaackMaate's Happy Hour Podcast, Callum said that he once woke up covered in blood. He then found he had the disease and went through chemotherapy. In the same podcast, Callum stated that his mother was very poor and couldn't afford a house phone. He also mentions that at this point his dad was not around.[3]

Callux founded ‘After Party Studios’, a social video production company in 2016 and hired Rvbberduck to be one of the companies directors. So far they have produced XYZ.[4]

Personal life[]
He was in a long-term relationship with YouTube cover artist Sarah Close for over 5 years until they announced their breakup in a YouTube video on 12 October 2019.[6]
Callux previously lived in a Stratford Halo apartment with Wroetoshaw and Calfreezy, having moved there in August 2014 but the trio moved into their own house, located in Bermondsey, sometime in 2018.[7]
In 2020, Callux bought a house which he moved into around the same time Calfreezy and Harry moved into a new apartment, but he made a video explaining that while he no longer lived with them, his new house was very close to their new apartment.[8]
Sidemen Video Appearances[]
Callux has been in multiple Sidemen videos such as The Roast of the Sidemen, Sidemen Deal or No Deal, The Wheel: Sidemen Edition, The Weakest Link: Sidemen Edition 2, and Sidemen Dragons Den. After appearing in the "Sidemen Extreme Cook Off", Callux received a lot of negative comments from the fans.[9][10][11][12][13]
Most recently Callux was featured in the "20 Women vs 1 Sidemen: Callux Edition". KSI claimed this was the "best video ever" and that Callux was "the 20vs1 GOAT".[14]
Callux has also appeared in MoreSidemen videos such as Sidemen Drunk Bingo 1 and 2, Which of the Sidemen knows Callux the best?, Sidemen describe Youtubers in one word, and multiple Sidemen Among Us videos.[15][16][17]
Trivia[]
- In late 2013, one of Callum's pranks went horribly wrong. In a video uploaded on December 22, 2013, Callum attempted to "prank" a man by "stealing" his car in a London parking lot in order to prove how easy it was in the modern day. The man - unsurprisingly - failed to see the joke and proceeded to choke Callum and punch him in the face. Whilst this was happening, Callum tried to give an explanation but with no success. Eventually, Callux got through to the man, finally calmed him down and explained that there was cameras surrounding the area. The man agreed to let the video be uploaded to YouTube as long as his face was blurred.[18]
- In July 2023, Callux invested in The Fellas Studios, a production company founded by YouTubers Calfreezy and TheBurntChip.[19]
