Born in Osasco, Sao Paulo, his parents tried to have him aborted but were unsuccessful for an unspecified reason. They ended up separating when he was a young child with Julio leaving with his mother and his siblings permanently and his father leaving and taking the family's dog.
In 2007, Julio's father gradually tried to reconnect with him but died undergoing an unknown surgery. In the early 2010's, his dog died, which left Julio in depression. To overcome his newfound sorrow, he found comedy, one of his inspirations being Brazilian comedian, Eduardo Sterblitch.
By the time he reached young adulthood, he graduated High School but was unemployed. Soon, his friends encouraged him to make posting comedic videos on YouTube his job and at the end of 2011, he uploaded his first YouTube video on his CanalCanalha channel.

He started posting videos of himself talking about everyday issues in a humoruous manner, similar to the likes of Felipe Neto and HolaSoyGerman.
His videos garnered controversy from the public, but he was able to gain many subscribers, views, and YouTuber friends.
In 2013, his channel reached 100,000 subscribers. Two years later, his channel reached 1,000,000 subscribers. In 2016, his channel reached 10,000,000 subscribers, making it the second most subscribed channel from Brazil. In 2017, his channel reached 1 billion views.
As of October 2020, his channel is now the 12th most subscribed channel in Brazil.
According to research released by Google, Julio is the tenth most influential person from Brazil.
His YouTube channel was hacked on March 31, 2022, changing their name to "MicroStrategy" and made all of his videos private. His YouTube channel was later renamed to "CanalCanalha".
