Ogechi Ukonu (born: May 28, 2000 (2000-05-28) [age 25]), professionally known as Caramel Plugg, is a Nigerian social media personality and public figure. She is also the founder of a clothing brand called Caramel Shop.

Biography[]

Caramel was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and from Igbere in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State although she resides in Vancouver, Canada. In 2016, Caramel graduated from Loral International School, where she received her first School Ceryiificstss and West African School Certificate. The same year she moved to Canada to study at the University of Fraser Valley. In 2018, Caramel began her career when she opened her YouTube channel and posted her first video on the 5th of December of that year. In 2019, she became popular after one of her videos went viral on different social media platforms and the video was also reposted by some Nigerian celebrities on their page. In 2020, Caramel interned with the United Nations habitat group to research the impacts of Covid-19 on youths and their environment. On December 23, 2020, she became the brand ambassador of an online portal for fashion and lifestyle accessories called Payporte. Caramel as a public figure due to her huge following has promoted some brands on her Instagram page.
